The Whole Home Program is a pilot program designed to assist and reward home owners in Ontario in making typical home improvements to reduce fuel consumption and encourage energy savings. The program is choice-based, personalized, and provides a one-stop shop approach for participants. This pilot will have an electricity assessment component, making customers with electrically heated homes also eligible.
Customers with gas or electrically heated homes will be eligible to participate. Participants of the program will undergo a pre-screen assessment of their home to determine eligibility. The pre-screen assessment will include:
If eligible, the participant will then undergo an initial audit of their home, followed by the selection of which measures the participant would like to install. Once measures are installed, a final audit can be scheduled. Incentives are based upon the final audit report.
Participants of the Whole Home Pilot Program will undergo a post-assessment of their home to determine the estimated rebate amount. Based on the auditor's final report, an incentive cheque will be issued to the customer by Union Gas or Enbridge as well as a personalized report explaining expected savings as a result of the adjustments made through the program.
